Scribd
Though scribd is a site for sharing your documents, it also serves as a versatile tool for converting any document into PDF. Even if you don't have an account, you can get into it through facebook id. Upload your document and then download it. You will be given two options to download, a PDF and a text. Choose PDF. It is worthwhile to note that your presentations can also be converted into PDF.

Google Docs
Uploading the required document to Google Docs can also serve the purpose very well. The process is similar to Sribd. Upload and then choose File > Download As > PDF.
